City Staff Development

City Staff Development

My eight years of experience working with the City of San Angelo staff have provided valuable insights. Notably, a significant portion of our workforce, including all city managers, are eligible for retirement. This includes not only public safety personnel (Police Department, Fire Department, Municipal Court) but also Directors, Assistant Directors, and other critically experienced staff members who could retire at any time.

To mitigate the potential impact of these retirements, we must develop a comprehensive succession and retention plan. My experience positions me to offer guidance in personnel selection and the implementation of a structured succession process, ensuring a smooth transition and preventing disruptive, sudden changes from dominating future council agendas.
