Public Safety

Public safety is a foundational element of any city’s governance. It is a paramount concern. San Angelo allocates approximately $58 million to its Fire and Police Departments. As our population grows, we must prioritize the expansion of these departments to ensure they keep pace. Over the next eight years, we anticipate adding personnel and establishing new locations to support this growth. Both departments are actively pursuing grant opportunities to mitigate the impact on taxpayers. I will continue to direct staff to prioritize the development of these departments, aligning with San Angelo’s overall expansion.
